Like they say, when it leaks it pours. Only hours after the first images of the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe (CSC) landed on the web, a video as well as a new wave of pictures of the junior CLS study surfaced online.

In the same way that last year’s A-Class Concept previewed the production model that was shown in Geneva this March, the CSC gives us an idea of what the four-door coupe model will look like when it arrives in the market sometime in 2013 as the CLC or CLA.

The study is based on an elongated version of the A-Class’ MFA platform sharing the same running gear as the hatchback, including the 208hp (211PS) 2.0-liter boosted four-cylinder engine that drives the front wheels.

The exterior styling of the CSC is an evolution of the F800 Concept from 2010, which also inspired the design of the larger CLS. Suffice to say, the production model will sport a less aggressive shape and design details.

These new pictures give us a better look of the interior as well. If you exclude the flashy accent colors and an overdose of Alcantara and carbon fiber trim, the dashboard is almost identical to that of the A-Class five-door hatchback. The only real difference we spotted is the bespoke instrument panel with the twin housing for the gauges.

2013 Mercedes SL 65 AMG
Daimler today unveiled the brand new Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG, and to sum this car up we’d say it’s really powerful, really beautiful an too expensive.

Still, if you lime Mercedes cars but think the SLS is ugly, this costs just as much and offers an alternative.

The big story with the R231 SL 65 AMG is that it’s powered by a 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine that generates 630 PS ( 621 hp). The engine is so strong and manly that they’ve had to limit the torque output to 1000Nm (737 lb-ft), because the rest of it couldn’t keep up.

All this power and a AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic transmission means you’ll get from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds. If you drive it like a Prius and change gears really low, you might even manage Mercedes’ claims that economy has been improved by 17% to 11.6 l/100km.

The SL 65 AMG is only for the uber-rich and the ultra-fans of the SL, because it costs no less than €236,334 in Germany.

2012 Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG
The new 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG is another masterpiece from Mercedes-AMG. This SL 63 AMG is available with a choice of two power outputs. The AMG 5.5-litre V8 ‘biturbo’ (twin-turbocharged) engine, which delivers 395 kW (537 hp) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. If the AMG Performance package is specified, these figures are increased to 415 kW (564 hp) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). The acceleration is from 0 to 100 km/h in only 4.3 or 4.2 seconds and to 200 km/h in 12.9 or 12.6 seconds respectively. Top speed is electronically limited 250 km/h. With the AMG Performance package on board it is raised to 300 km/h (likewise electronically limited). NEDC combined consumption comes in at 9.9 litres per 100 kilometres for both power outputs – a full 4.2 litres or 30 percent lower than for the outgoing model.

Behind the low fuel consumption is the lightweight construction of the SL 63 AMG. The vehicle is based on a lightweight all-aluminium bodyshell similar to that of the SLS AMG super sports car. The result is weight saving of around 110 kilograms. Moreover the components have been optimised in line with their specific purpose. For the cover, for instance, behind the tank, the engineers have used even lighter magnesium material in some cases. High-strength steel tubes are integrated into the A-pillars for safety reasons. The boot lid helps to further trim the weight: the inner support is made from lightweight carbon-fibre composite and is bonded to the plastic outer shell, resulting in a weight saving of five kilograms. Moreover, almost all of the multi-link independent rear suspension components are made of aluminium. The reduction in unsprung masses enhances both agility and the response of the spring and damper components. The all-new SL 63 AMG is equipped with an improved version of the AMG sports suspension based on Active Body Control as standard. As a result the car has exceptional sport characteristics with reduced roll angles and firm body damping (”Sport”) or more comfort-oriented settings for a high level of comfort on long journeys (”Comfort”). In addition for greater agility and faster cornering speeds, the SL 63 AMG has fully revised elastokinematics. Furthermore, the model is equipped with the new, electro-mechanical AMG speed-sensitive sports steering, which now has a constant and more direct ratio, and variable power assistance which adjusts in line with the suspension settings. Further standard equipment features 3‑stage ESP®, a speciality exclusive to AMG with “SPORT Handling” mode for particularly keen drivers, while options available from the AMG Performance Studio include an AMG rear axle differential lock and AMG performance suspension.

More importantly the power transmission can be adapted to specific requirements. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission has four modes to select from: “C” (Controlled Efficiency), “S” (Sport), “S+” (Sport plus) and “M” (Manual). To go furter into details, in “C” mode, the ECO start/stop function is active at all times and switches off the eight-cylinder engine when the vehicle is standing still. The engine and transmission are far more agile in “S”, “S+” and “M” mode. Here the stop/start function is deactivated. An automatic double-declutching function for downshifting and the RACE START function are also included as standard with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission.

When it comes to braking, the new model got the freshly developed AMG high-performance compound brake system features 390 x 36 mm compound discs with six-piston fixed callipers at the front and 360 x 26 mm integral discs with single-piston floating callipers at the rear. In addition, an electric parking brake is fitted as standard, while options available from the AMG Performance Studio include red-painted callipers to denote the AMG Performance package. The SL 63 AMG sits on five-twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels painted titanium grey with a high-sheen finish, shod with 255/35 R 19 front and 285/30 R 19 rear tyres. There are also available of course, multi-spoke AMG forged wheels from the AMG Performance Studio with 255/35 R 19 front and 285/30 R 20 rear tyres.

The new SL 63 AMG has a dynamically distinctive AMG bodystyling. It features front apron with large air dams, AMG-specific LED daytime running lamps and a lower cross strut in silver chrome, new AMG radiator grille with a double louvre in silver chrome, the side sill panels and the “V8 BITURBO” logos on the vent grilles with fins in silver chrome, AMG spoiler lip, the two chromed twin tailpipes of the AMG sports exhaust system, the diffuser-style rear apron with body-coloured insert.

The sixth-generation SL retains the space-saving, electrohydraulically retractable vario-roof. It enables the the SL to transformed itself into a roadster or a coupé, as the mood takes the driver and depending on the weather, in under 20 seconds. More importantly there are three versions of this roof to choose from: painted roof, glass roof or the unique panoramic vario-roof with MAGIC SKY CONTROL.

The interior of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG is as extraordinary and exciting as the exterior. It offers a lot of equipment: four air vents styled like jet engines, the E-SELECT lever, the AMG DRIVE UNIT. Standard equipment includes AMG sports seats in single-tone or two-tone nappa leather with a unique V8 seat upholstery layout and AMG badges in the seat backrests, a multicontour function and seat heating as well as AMG carbon-fibre trim, AMG illuminated door sill panels, ambient lighting and an IWC-design analogue clock, AMG performance steering wheel, AMG instrument cluster provides which includes a TFT colour monitor, AMG start-up display, AMG main menu and RACETIMER.

Further standard equipment for the SL 63 AMG include: ATTENTION ASSIST COMAND Online with 6-disc DVD changer, anti-theft alarm system, frontbass, remote-unlocking boot lid including power closing for boot lid, Intelligent Light System ILS, MAGIC VISION CONTROL adaptive windscreen cleaning system, NECK-PRO head restraints, PRE-SAFE® system, automatic, pop-up roll-over bars for driver and front passenger, draught-stop

The SL 63 AMG extensive range of optional extras comprises of: AIRSCARF neck-level heating, Active Parking Assist including PARKTRONIC, Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG high-end surround sound system, Driving Assistance package Plus (DISTRONIC PLUS including BAS PLUS, PRE‑SAFE® brake, Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist), harman/kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system, KEYLESS-GO Convenience package (including remote-closing boot lid and HANDS-FREE ACCESS system), Exclusive nappa leather Climatised seats, Electric draught-stop.

Furthermore, it is now possible to add even more individuality to the SL 63 AMG, with more optional extras from the AMG Performance Studio: AMG Performance package (increase in maximum power of 20 kW (27 hp) and maximum torque of 100 Nm; AMG engine cover in genuine carbon fibre, AMG rear axle differential lock, AMG spoiler lip in genuine carbon fibre, red-painted callipers, AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather/DINAMICA), AMG forged light-alloy wheels, AMG forged light-alloy wheels, painted matt black, rim flange with a high-sheen finish, AMG performance suspension, AMG ceramic high-performance compound brake system, AMG Exterior Carbon package (cross strut in front apron, exterior mirror housings and spoiler lip in genuine carbon fibre), AMG Performance Media with telemetry function, AMG performance steering wheel in nappa leather/DINAMICA.

To mark the launch of the new SL 63 AMG, AMG Performance studio is going to launch a special edition model of the vehicle, called “Edition 1″ model. The “Edition 1″ includes the following as standard: AIRSCARF neck-level heating, AMG forged light-alloy wheels, painted matt black, rim flange with a high-sheen finish, AMG Performance package, Exclusive leather in classic red or deep white with contrasting topstitching, headliner in black leather, harman/kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system, MAGIC SKY CONTROL panoramic vario-roof.

At first, it was the brochure shots and now, it’s an Armageddon of official photos of the brand-new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL that have spilled onto the internet ahead of the hardtop roadster model’s scheduled world premiere at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show in January.

Aside from the obvious when it comes to the boxier styling language, which is closely modeled after the smaller SLK, what we now about the new SL is that it is the first mainstream Mercedes model to feature an almost exclusively aluminum construction that make it some 140kg (308 pounds) lighter than the car it replaces.

The 2013 SL keeps the current model’s folding top with Mercedes-Benz’s Magic Sky Control roof with a glass structure being offered as an option.

While Mercedes has released several details on the technologies and the chassis design of the new SL, the German company remains tight-lipped about the available engine range. However, we expect the SL to launch with Merc’s new 3.5-liter V6 and 4.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engines, with more powerplants to be introduced down the line.

TopCar is working to give the new 2012 Mercedes ML63 AMG a little bit of Russian flavor, with the tuner previewing an exterior modification package for the SUV.

We are talking about a wide body kit that includes a new front fascia with massive air intakes and LED daytime running lights, beefier fenders, side skirts, special panels for the doors, as well as a redesigned rear fascia. In addition to that, the roof rails were removed for a cleaner look.

As you can see in the adjacent renderings, the vehicle will get an aggressive appearance, as well as a set of ADV.1 wheels (this is the tuner’s wheel partner). TopCar will built the kit using carbon fiber, which will also bring a psychological advantage, if not an engineering one for the owners.

Carlsson Mercedes CLS63 AMG
Carlsson has just released details and pictures of a new customization program for the Mercedes Benz CLS63 AMG, our favorite four-door coupe in the looks department. Called the “red and white dream,” this is clearly hitting the aftermarket nail on the head, since a lot of people love red pleated leatherwork in a white car.

There are also some performance enhancements, as Carlsson has added their exhaust system with metal catalysts that combined with some engine remap games resulted in an output of 652hp. The body kit that visually expresses this power is also impressive, integrating carbon fiber front and rear spoilers, integrated rear diffuser and lip spoilers.

The car is finished in in “Diamond White Metallic” paint, which is set off with a cool 20-inch Carlsson lightweight wheels. In case you were wondering, they used “Santa Red” Nappa Exclusive leather for the interior. The jolly one would be so proud.

2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG
German car fans were expecting to see the updated C63 AMG this March, at the Geneva Motor Show, but photos leaked this week of the new sedan and wagon, providing a peek at what lays ahead for the upcoming C series rocket. The main exterior changes are to the fascia; the C63 AMG gets SL series-inspired headlamps, with Audi-esque LED light-piping. LEDs also make their way to the tail lamps, and the team also re-designed the 18-inch wheels, with red brake calipers grabbing the 14.2-inch front discs. Under the hood, the biggest difference is that top speed will no longer be limited to 155 mph; the 2012 C63 AMG, with the performance Development Package, will top out at 174 mph. AMG has developed a new 5.5-liter biturbo mill, but the C63 keeps 6.2-liter V8, so output remains at 451 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. Some early reaction is mixed about the new fascia design, but all told, the new C63 is yet another gift to MB fans. Check out the gallery after the jump, of both the sedan and the wagon.

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster
2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster
2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster
2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster
Boasting an AMG-designed chassis, body and powertrain, the SLS Roadster is officially considered the “second” car to be independently developed by AMG. The SLS Roadster is, obviously, based very heavily on its gullwing sibling.

Under both hoods
The SLS AMG’s compact cloth fabric top was chosen for three reasons: Its light weight compared to a folding metal roof, its trim folded dimensions and its unique style. Capable of stowing away in just 11 seconds, it can be operated at speeds up to 31 mph.

Unlike the gullwing, the Roadster’s doors open traditionally with little pomp and circumstance. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t impressive inside.

Under the roof, things are mostly standard SLS AMG. That’s to say that the car draws inspiration from the original 300SL Gullwing of the 1950s, a legendary racing and road car that is highly valued by collectors today. The dashboard is retro-modern, with all the latest Mercedes-Benz luxuries and high-grade materials and trim that can be tailored to an individual buyer’s tastes.

Its dashboard is aircraft-inspired, as well, thanks to the jet engine-resemblilng vent nozzles and the aircraft thrust control-shaped E-Select gear lever.

That lever helps fire up the AMG Speedshift DCT 7-speed automatic. With four modes – comfort, sport, sport+ and manual – the automatic can fire off shifts faster than any driver could. A Race Start function optimizes the car’s sophisticated traction control system and mechanical differential lock for optimal launches.

Motivating the SLS AMG is the division’s 6.3-liter V8, which puts out 563 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 479 lb-ft. of torque at 4,750 rpm. This thrust propels the SLS AMG to 60 mph in a mere 3.7 seconds and the car is electronically limited to an impressive 197 mph. As a result, both roadster and gullwing boast similar performance figures.

Designed to handle
Like the coupe, the SLS AMG Roadster is more than just an acceleration machine. A low-mounted engine with a dry sump system helps ensure optimal weight distribution and a nearly ground-level center of gravity.

The engine is front-mid mounted, meaning it lies as close to the center of the vehicle as possible, which helps AMG achieve a 47/53 weight distribution. A broad track – 66.2 inches up front and 65.1 inches out back – improves grip and control.

All four wheels hit the ground thanks to double wishbone suspensions with a track road, a Formula 1-derived technology.

Buyers can select either the standard sport-oriented suspension or a new Adaptive AMG Sport Suspension with three modes (comfort, sport and sport+). Each mode features its own shock tuning to alter the ride quality based on the type of driving desired.

The rear-wheel-drive roadster also offers optional ceramic brakes for optimal fade-free braking under extreme conditions.

Look for the SLS AMG Roadster to make its auto show debut later this year the Frankfurt Motor Show before it goes on sale worldwide.

At the Geneva Motor Show 2011, mercedes c class coupe was first launched. The new car is able to penetrate the global market segment with an attractive form of display cars. In addition, support is also a good engine performance and also a very comfortable interior.

The technology used on this car is quite sophisticated, with some aspects of system support progressive and highly efficient. Viewed from the side of the fuel this car is also quite economical with some support of advanced engine performance.

The dashboard instrument panel features a strong, sporty and high-quality design. Three tube rings with a galvanised finish demonstrate the car’s sporty credentials to the driver. As standard, the coupĂ© comes with the new generation of three-spoke steering wheel with its chromed central spoke that first appeared on the new CLS. The touch surfaces of the controls are finely detailed and galvanised.

The stepped top of the instrument cluster also accommodates the central display and continues onto the front passenger side as a discreet light-catching contour. The central, trapezoidal air vents and the round vents on the outside are highlighted in detail by galvanised trim. The control panel of the new-generation communication and information unit has silver-coloured keys. The combination of matt keys, high-gloss areas and a new thumbwheel design underlines the high perceived value of the interior.

There is a choice of three petrol engines and two diesel powerplants to power the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe. All are equipped with direct injection and the ECO start/stop function as standard. All the engine variants are classed as BlueEFFICIENCY units, showing that they are particularly efficient and environmentally friendly in their use of fuel. All automatic versions feature the further-enhanced 7G?TRONIC PLUS seven-speed automatic transmission (standard with the C 250 and C 350 petrol engines). The C 220 CDI and C 250 CDI diesel variants and the basic C 180 petrol engine come with a six-speed manual transmission as standard.

The top engine variant is the V6 petrol engine in the C 350 BlueEFFICIENCY featuring the efficient BlueDIRECT method of injection. It delivers 306 hp and 370 Nm. Average fuel consumption is 41.5 mpg. The four-cylinder petrol engines have direct injection and are turbocharged, offering high performance and exemplary economy.
